About
Amigos, the Richmond Latino Center, is located in Townsend Community Center, 855 N. 12th St., Richmond, IN. It was founded in 1999 to support the growing Latino population of Richmond and Wayne County. As a center, Amigos supports the Latino community to engage actively in the life of the town, to benefit from the services
that are provided, and to thrive as Richmond community members.
In addition to the Amigos office, Townsend Center offers many spaces including a game room, kitchen, cafeteria, meeting rooms and a gym. During the last ten years we have provided English classes, and children's activities, social services, computer classes, family excursions, fiestas, workshops, seminars, sports, youth group, (Corazón Latino) and a weekly radio show.
